Taking into consideration the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, this year's music program was themed "Music and the Protestant Reformation." 

On November 10-12, 2017, a special music program was held in Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement churches around the world. Taking into consideration the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, this year's music program was themed "Music and the Protestant Reformation."

A circular by the President of the General Conference in response to a grave problem facing our churches today: the lack of reverence.

“Ye shall keep My Sabbaths, and reverence My sanctuary: I am the Lord,” Leviticus 26:2.

 

Here we find a very important commandment. The Sabbath on the seventh day and the sanctuary are two essential elements in our worship. And both belong to the Lord. They are holy and do not belong to us.

Several studies have supported the ancient uses of rosemary for memory and concentration as well as mood enhancement. Additionally, research with dementia patients revealed a decrease in deteriorating memory and increase in contentment with the use of rosemary.

On October 30th to 31st, 2017 the Northern California Conference held a 24-Hour Live Online Conference commemorating 500 years of the Protestant Reformation.

From October 30th to 31st, 2017 the Northern California Conference held a 24-Hour Live Online Conference commemorating 500 years of the Protestant Reformation. Studies were presented on the five fundamental principles of the Reformation (the 5 Solas), which are Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide, Sola Gratia, Solo Christo, and Soli Deo Gloria. Other topics covered the historical context of the Reformation and how the Reformation is relevant to us today.

The reorganization session was held in the Chilean Union on October 26-29. Two brethren were ordained on October 28.

CHILE—A reorganization session for the Chilean Union was held on October 26-29, 2017. It was the 14th reorganization session for that Union. The theme for the session and weekend meetings was "Come, Lord Jesus.

 

Below are a few photos of the ordination held on October 28, 2017, when Brother Max Eleazar Uribe was ordained as a minister and Brother Franck Vitorassi was ordained as a pastor. Brother Rômulo Borges (the GC Regional Secretary for South America) was present for the reorganization and performed the ordination.
