Introduction

The Youth Department works for the salvation of the youth in the church—by helping them receive a personal knowledge of Christ, and building noble, Christ-like characters—and persuade them to become actively engaged in giving the final message to this sin stricken world.

This Department collaborates with Units worldwide to achieve its goals. It coordinates youth events and opportunities for the youth to participate in evangelistic activities, prepares literary material for a youth audience, holds training seminars for Unit youth leaders, and works with young people on an individual basis.

“With such an army of workers as our youth, rightly trained, might furnish, how soon the message of a crucified, risen, and soon-coming Saviour might be carried to the whole world! How soon might the end come—and of suffering and sorrow and sin!” Ed 271.

What is the purpose of the Youth Department?

The Youth Department exists to help young people grow spiritually, develop their talents, and serve God through fellowship, outreach, and discipleship. We provide a safe space where youth can connect, learn, and be empowered to live out their faith.

All young people—whether members of the church or visitors—are welcome to join. Most programs are designed for ages 13–30, but younger participants may also be included in certain events.

The Youth Department organizes Bible studies, prayer meetings, mission trips, social gatherings, and community service projects. We also host workshops and training to help youth build leadership and life skills.

You can start by speaking with the Youth Director or a local leader to learn about opportunities. We encourage young people to take active roles in planning and leading programs that align with their gifts and passions.

Yes, we often work alongside other ministries such as Children’s, Music, and Welfare to strengthen the church as a whole. These collaborations provide young people with more opportunities to serve and connect.
