A special invitation of GC President, Bro. Davi P. Silva

  • Delegation Session: August 25 to September 10, 2015
  • Public Meetings: September 10 to 13, 2015

Let’s Go to the General Conference!

All Israel was summoned to take part in three annual worship assemblies at the sanctuary. The people were to leave their houses and properties under God’s special care so that they could fellowship at Jerusalem.

God also has special plans for His people today, and one of them is to gather together to worship Him.

The Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement meets in General Conference capacity every four years. This is a very special occasion when representatives from around the world present their reports and good news about the progress of God’s work around the globe.

In addition, the delegation session makes important decisions on doctrinal points that need special consideration, particularly in view of the fact that God’s people are frequently bombarded by “winds of doctrine” that are not in accordance with “the law and the testimony” (Isaiah 8:20).  The delegation also considers plans for the next term on how to reach new areas where souls are still ignorant of the three angels’ messages.

On these special occasions, God’s people are invited to be present during the public meetings that are held sometimes before or after the end of the delegation session.

This time, after 35 years, the upcoming General Conference delegation session will be held in the United States of America. The last time this event was held in the U. S. A. was in 1979, in Bushkill, Pennsylvania.

We invite the family of God around the world to pray for the success of these gatherings, and for the baptism of the Holy Spirit so that we may reach full unity before the outpouring of the latter rain.  The latter rain will prepare God’s people to give the last message to this agonizing world.  It will prepare the faithful remnant for the time of trouble as the seven last plagues will be poured out on those who reject the free salvation purchased by the Son of God at great price when He gave His perfect life on Calvary.

Today we still have time to plan for these meetings, but soon we will be pressed for time since the next General Conference public meetings are scheduled for September 2015, in Roanoke, Virginia.  The theme for these general gatherings will be “Christ Is All, and in All.”  The people of God need to spread His love by precept and example, and by personal experience be closely connected with Jesus—our Best Friend.

Let’s take time to study God’s Word, to pray as never before, and to make known the everlasting gospel which involves the three angels’ messages found in Revelation 14:6–13 in conjunction with the message of Revelation 18:1–4.

“As the children of Israel celebrated the deliverance that God had wrought for their fathers, and his miraculous preservation of them during their journeying’s from Egypt, so should we gratefully call to mind the various ways He has devised for bringing us out from the world, and from the darkness of error, into the precious light of His grace and truth.” Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 541.

May the Lord richly bless His people around the world to prepare earnest and diligently for the soon coming of Jesus.
