My Dear Brethren,

Greetings with Psalm 18:2:

“The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.”

And Psalm 91:15:

“He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.”

On Thursday, February 24, 2022, the dreadful encounter that world leaders had been anxiously foreseeing, yet hoping to avoid, became a reality as war broke out between Russia and Ukraine.

Not since World War II has Europe been faced with such an event, and its impact will be felt around the world.

For our dear brothers and sisters in Ukraine and Russia, this conflict will bring a great test of faith and their resolve to follow the truth and remain faithful to the God of heaven. As of the time of writing, our brethren have been reported safe and unaffected by last night’s bombing.

Yet, the challenge facing our young people in these regions is now especially grave. Both countries are imposing mandatory military conscription, forcing young people into service. History repeats itself as brother is called to take up arms against brother.

Our churches in the neighboring countries are preparing to welcome their fellow brethren, should it be necessary. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.

In the meantime, we must come together as a world church in earnest prayer and fasting on behalf of our brethren in this region. Let us pray for their safety, that they will be kept out of harm’s way, and that they may be used by God even under these dire circumstances to share the hope of salvation with those around them. Let us especially hold up our youth, praying that they will be a shining example of a faithful people who chose to serve God rather than man.

Without a doubt, we are living in the final days of Earth’s history. Let the soldiers of Christ lift high the banner of Prince Emmanuel and fight the good fight of faith by seeking the lost, rescuing the perishing, and sharing the only real hope that this world has—Jesus.

May God help us all to draw nearer to Him and to each other, that we may come together in unity praying for His protection and guidance.

Maranatha!
