Bogotá, Colombia—The city of Bogotá witnessed a significant ceremony on Sabbath, October 4, with the ministerial ordination of two church leaders, Brethren Filemón Penagos and Nelson Ruiz. Both were formally promoted to full ministry, a milestone that marks a new chapter in their respective journeys of service.

The solemn ordination ceremony was presided over by Brother William Forero, President of the Colombian Union, who was accompanied by the Field presidents of the Colombian Union, lending great institutional weight to the event. Brother Filemón Penagos currently holds the position of President of the Central Field of the Colombian Union, while Brother Nelson Ruiz serves as the Auditor of the General Conference and member of the Colombian Union.

The event was well-attended, with more than 240 people present for this momentous occasion. A moving and promising detail was that the program was entirely led by the youth of the Suba Church in Bogotá, who brought energy and fervor to the event. Ministerial ordination symbolizes full authority to exercise all the functions of the pastorate, a step of profound significance for both ministers and for the organization as a whole. The church welcomes Brethren Penagos and Ruiz and their families, wishing them blessings and wisdom in their responsibilities.
