Almirante Tamandaré, Brazil—By God’s grace, the II South American Music Encounter, organized by the GC Music Department with the support of the South Brazilian Union and the Paraná Field, took place in Almirante Tamandaré, Brazil, from June 4-7.

Over 120 instrumental musicians from Brazil, Peru, Chile, and Honduras participated in an intensive program that included rehearsals, instrumental masterclasses, musical training activities, and moments of spiritual reflection.

During the weekend, specifically on Friday and Saturday, a large spiritual celebration open to the public was held at the Prefeito Sebastião Natal Colodel Convention Center, where more than 600 people attended to enjoy a special program of praise and worship.

Among the participating groups were the Brazilian Reform Movement Philharmonic Orchestra, the Brazilian Reform Movement Philharmonic Band, the Peruvian Union Orchestra, Metais Divinos of Brazil, and the Botiatuba Camerata. As the culmination of the gathering, all the musicians joined together to form a large, integrated orchestra, which performed two special hymns, reflecting the spirit of unity and consecration that characterized the entire event.

Spiritual meditations were led by special guests. On Friday, Brother Marcos Pedrazas presented on the topic “God’s Purposes for Music.” On Sabbath morning, Pastor Carlos Linares shared the message “The Most Beautiful Music,” while in the afternoon Brother Aaron Quispe spoke on “Music’s Influence on Worship.”

This gathering reaffirmed the power of music as an instrument for worship, evangelism, and spiritual edification, strengthening the bonds of brotherhood among musicians from different South American countries and promoting a shared vision of service through music ministry.
