Canada
Even today, people still come to our churches, and we have the opportunity to show them true Christianity and true hospitality.

“Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.” Romans 12:13

 

We had just arrived in Canada in 2005, and for the first time I was visiting our church in Puslinch, ON. I stepped up to the podium to begin the Divine Service, and looked to the people attending church. They were all new to me.

Spiritual Conference held in Italy on October 16–18, 2015.

On October 16–18, 2015, the Italian Field held a Spiritual Conference in the magnificent mountain scenery of the Aosta Valley.

 

The theme of the conference was "Family—Our Greatest Asset." Brother Pedro Conceição, the GC Auditor, was present and delivered the lectures on the topic during the weekend.

Humanitarian projects include: weekly lunches for those in need, medical aid, volunteering at local health institutions, and promotion of peace in a country where military action and fear loom so near.

 

UKRAINE—In a recently war-torn country that still feels the effects of a military presence, our church members have gathered together to form the "Angel's Hand" Charitable Foundation. The charity is composed of a community of people who have a desire to help others. Their goal is to help all those in need and who, for whatever reason, may be in trouble.

Those who have taken part in a campaign to collect funds for important church projects often meet with sad disappointments and happy surprises. And sometimes, when children are involved, the seriousness of their approach to the whole matter may be so amusing that you cannot help laughing. And some stories that come from such occasions cannot easily be forgotten.
