The Welfare Department exists to assist the poor, needy, and misfortunate and to fulfill the purpose of God for His church in Isaiah 58 through active personal involvement.
The Welfare Department assists church members and non-members facing emergency situations. One of the greatest emergencies that call upon the funds of the Welfare Department is assistance during times of natural calamities, where this Department has the opportunity to follow Jesus’ example in meeting both physical and spiritual needs.
In preparation, the Welfare Department trains team leaders around the world to be ready to respond. The Welfare Department also works tirelessly to fundraise for emergency and working funds. These working funds are then put into use to help educate and train local Units to become self-sufficient with their new resources.
