Dear Brethren,
It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Brother Manuel Henda.
Brother Henda was a devoted follower of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whose life was marked by faithful and selfless service. He was the first Reform Movement member baptized in Angola, as well as the first ordained elder. Throughout the years, he carried many responsibilities in the work of God. Among these, he served faithfully for nine years as the General Conference Regional Secretary for Southern Africa. Prior to this, he labored for many years as President of the SDARM Angolan Union, where his dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the cause of truth left a lasting impact.

His quiet strength, spiritual devotion, and earnest labor for the advancement of the gospel will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Yet, even in this moment of loss, we are comforted by the blessed hope given to us in the Scriptures, that those who sleep in Jesus will rise again. Our dear brother now rests from his labors, awaiting that glorious resurrection morning when we shall be reunited.
We kindly ask the worldwide church family to remember Brother Henda’s loved ones in your prayers during this time of sorrow, that the God of all comfort may sustain and strengthen them.
On behalf of the General Conference, we extend our heartfelt condolences and Christian love to the family and all who mourn his loss.
With hope in Christ,
Liviu Tudoroiu
General Conference Secretary
Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement
“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.” (1 Thessalonians 4:13–14)
“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” (Psalm 116:15)
São Tomé and Príncipe—From March 5-11, the Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement in Portugal carried a mission in São Tomé and Príncipe, with the goal of equipping the brethren there to use social media and content creation as missionary tools to reach more souls. To this end, some basic equipment was donated to the church in São Tomé and Príncipe, and a small team conducted a media workshop to train the brethren in the use of these resources.

São Tomé is an island of great natural beauty, very green, with a kind, warm, and welcoming population that received us with great kindness. Currently, there are two churches that receive support and attention from the Portuguese Field. The Reformation work began in that territory only in 2012, and gradually, the message has reached new souls.
We thank God for this opportunity to serve, teach, and contribute to strengthening the local missionary work. We pray that every piece of knowledge shared and every resource made available may be used for God’s glory.
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15
Chernivtsi, Ukraine—On March 18, a missionary and welfare project was held for the elderly in a Chernivtsi nursing home. The event was organized by the branch of the charitable foundation “Angel’s Hand”, with the participation of volunteers from the Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement.

As part of the event, aid packages were put together and donated. Each package included fresh fruits, desserts, warm socks, as well as spiritual literature. The book “Thoughts from the Mount of Blessing” was included in each package, as a special hope-filled gift for each recipient.
You can read the book here.
This project was a manifestation of Christian love, care and attention to the elderly, who especially need support and warmth.
We believe that even a little attention can bring joy, hope, and comfort to a person’s heart.
Note: Please, continue praying for our brethren in Ukraine. The situation continues tense and stressful. The brethren continue working actively, by God’s grace. Yet, some are still detained in military camps. On March 22, the Ukrainian Union President, Brother Genadii Lavrik, visited one of our brethren taking the Lord’s supper and his family for a visit. Let us keep these brethren in our prayers that God may sustain them with His peace.
