"The Saviour kept the Sabbath, and taught His disciples to keep it. He knew how it should be kept, for He Himself had made it holy," (The Story of Jesus, pg. 67).

The controversy between Jesus and the Pharisees concerning the Sabbath never involved the question whether or not the Sabbath should be observed. The discussion was only over the question as to how the Sabbath was to be kept. Jesus put away all unnecessary human traditions and taught "lawful" Sabbath-keeping by giving us an example. Luke 4:16; Matthew 12:1-12; Luke 13:10-17; John 5:2-11; 7:22, 23. By teaching correct Sabbath-keeping according to the law, Christ confirmed the sacred validity of the Sabbath commandment.

With cardiovascular disease so prevalent, it is important to know what signs and symptoms to watch out for.

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death in the United States and one of the leading causes of death worldwide. About 610,000 people die of heart disease in the United States every year, 370,000 of which die from coronary artery disease (CDC).

Heart disease is a costly illness and vast amounts of money, procedures, and medications allocated to this illness will not eradicate its prevalence. The key to optimizing our chances against this disease is through prevention, education, and lifestyle modification.

The apostle James calls the Law of God “the law of liberty.” How could it be that a law that forbids people to do whatsoever they want, be called a law of liberty?

“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one [point], he is guilty of all.  For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.  So, speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty” (James 2:10–12).

The Law of God is the reflection of His lovely, just, and perfect character. Since God is love, His moral law of the Ten Commandments is based on perfect love. This is its fundamental principle.
