Brother Marcelo Ponce shares updates and news about the work being done in Germany. In his words, "I share our joy with our brothers around the world."

On October 8, 2016, we gathered near Frankfurt for the baptism of two new souls who joined God's people. It was a day blessed with many visitors. Normally, our church in Flörsheim meets every Sabbath with an average of 35 individuals present. On October 8, we had almost 100 visitors from other cities in Germany, as well as brethren who came from Denmark, Switzerland, France, Bulgaria, former Yugoslavia, and Chile. We had also programmed a Young People's Meeting, during which seven young people made public their desire to prepare for baptism.

The work in the Seychelles began over 20 years ago. This year, one of the brethren who helped pioneer the work in the Seychelles passed away and is sleeping in our Lord. His nephew and co-worker in Christ, Brother Jacques Payet relates the story of how the work began and what is currently happening.
Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

My name is Jacques and I was born in the Seychelles. Seychelles is made up of 115 Islands spread out within the vast blue waters of the Indian Ocean, south of India and east of Africa.

I grew up in the Advent faith and was baptised in the Adventist church at the age of fourteen. I was raised by my lovely, God-fearing parents and received good Christian teaching throughout my early years.

Due to peer-pressure for social acceptance, the many changes going on in their lives at this time, and any number of external and internal factors, teens can often be at risk for depression and anxiety.

Here are some indicators that your teen is depressed or is heading down the road to depression:

On October 22, 2016, we had a wonderful baptism for Brother Chad and Sister Juley in Jamaica. There were 18 people in attendance for the baptism. After a sermon by Brother Helisto Barker, the President of the Belize Field who was visiting with us, we had lunch. Then, we went to the ocean where we had the baptismal service. We praise the Lord for the wonderful time we had. Despite the threat of rain in the nearby area, we were blessed and had no rain where we were in worship.
