On October 22, 2016, we had a wonderful baptism for Brother Chad and Sister Juley in Jamaica. There were 18 people in attendance for the baptism. After a sermon by Brother Helisto Barker, the President of the Belize Field who was visiting with us, we had lunch. Then, we went to the ocean where we had the baptismal service. We praise the Lord for the wonderful time we had. Despite the threat of rain in the nearby area, we were blessed and had no rain where we were in worship.

Editor's note: Brother Vernon Rankine had recently been sent to visit Jamaica. Now, he and his family are in the process of moving from the South East US Field to Jamaica, to live and begin the work there as a Bible Worker. Brother Rankine is originally from Jamaica, making immigration a faster process. He and his family should be arriving there in the near future. The work there has already begun to bear fruit. While we do have members from Jamaica in other parts of the world, the baptism of Brother Chad and Sister Juley mark the first baptism in Jamaica for our SDARM church. Currently, there are more interested souls , and we pray and trust that the Lord will continue prospering His cause in Jamaica.
