First Sabbath Offering for Andhra Pradesh, India

“Andhra Pradesh is one of the 28 states of India, situated on the country's southeastern coast. It is India's fourth largest state by area and fifth largest by population.”—Wikipedia.

Sometime in 2008 a few groups of people from Visakhapatnam wrote to the General Conference expressing our interest and willingness to know and study the message of Reformation. The General Conference referred our interest to the responsible brethren in our region. Within a short time two ministers visited us and shared the wonderful message of revival and reformation under the third angel’s message. As a result of these studies sixteen souls were baptized later and united with the family of God on earth.

Having received the truth, we ventured to spread the good news to souls living in adjacent places. The work has been steadily progressing since then. We shall not rest until the work is complete by the bountiful supply of the Holy Spirit.

Due to distance one of our groups worship in a rented place, and the other two groups worship in private homes. As the Lord stretches forth His hand to help us now, we plan to build a house of worship for our present needs with potential for future growth. A property has been purchased for the building of a sanctuary. At this juncture, we, as did Moses, appeal to all our brothers and sisters around the world to join hands with us in this great cause. Without your prayers and financial support, it will be much harder for us to accomplish this task.

“That which is given to start the work in one field will result in strengthening the work in other places. As the laborers are freed from embarrassment, their efforts can be extended; as souls are brought to the truth and churches are established, there will be increasing financial strength. Soon these churches will be able not only to carry on the work in their own borders, but to impart to other fields. Thus the burden resting on the home churches will be shared.”—Testimonies, vol. 6, p. 27.

We appeal to you, our dear brethren, to lend a helping hand and freely give so that our desire to erect a place of worship to the glory of our God will be fulfilled. We thank you in advance for your help.

Your brethren and sisters from Andhra Pradesh
