This morning greeted us with pristine weather as the sun shone radiantly over the majestic mountains. The day began with morning worship led by Brother Romulo Borges, the outgoing Regional Secretary for South America. Brother Borges expounded on the beauty of Christ’s righteousness and emphasized the vital need for it to be manifested in our lives.

Following worship, the delegates enjoyed a delightful breakfast with fresh papaya, bananas, cereal, baked cakes, and the signature Colombian arepas. The meal gave the delegates a moment to socialize before everyone gathered to take a group photograph.

The session began promptly at 8:30 a.m., with Brother David Zic, the Chairman, presiding. In his opening address, Brother Zic highlighted the importance of perseverance during the challenges symbolized by Jacob’s time of trouble. He encouraged the delegates to stay committed to the promises and dedication made at the start of the conference and to continuously seek the guidance and strength of the Holy Spirit.

After voting on a few resolutions, the delegates went into their respective committees to carry out focused discussions. At 2:30 p.m., the session reconvened for further voting and deliberations.
A partial report from the Nominating Committee was presented, during which Brother Rolly Dumaguit, the outgoing First Vice-President, was elected as the Second Vice-President of the General Conference. In an emotional address, Brother Rolly reminisced about his initial call to the ministry and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to continue serving.

During the same session, Brother Liviu Tudoroiu was re-elected as the General Conference Secretary. In his acceptance remarks, he thanked the delegates for their trust and reaffirmed his commitment to serving with excellence in this vital role.

Brother Mario Linares, the outgoing Director of the Missionary and Canvassing Department of the General Conference, led the evening worship. His devotional focused on the theme of justification by faith, highlighting the essential role of Jesus Christ in every aspect of our spiritual journey and reminding us of our complete dependence on Him.
