One of the recurring themes in the delegates’ prayers has been the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. This morning, the delegates gathered to pray and seek God’s blessings for the work of the day.
The 8th session began with a devotional message from Brother Daniel Lee, the outgoing Publishing Department Director. His message, titled “Profession is Not Enough,” emphasized that words are meaningless unless accompanied by actions.
The regular business session resumed at 8:30 AM with an appeal from the Chairman, Brother David Zic. He reminded the delegates that while times have changed and modern society no longer engages in much physical labor, God still calls us to be workers in His field. He pointed out that today, that our lifestyle is often sedentary but our fingers remain active, urging us to embrace the spirit of true labor.
During the session, the delegates received distressing news regarding Brother Vitali’s court hearing in Ukraine. Given the political turmoil and ongoing war, this is an especially difficult time for him. In response, the delegates united in prayer, asking God for a miracle on his behalf.
At 2:30 PM, the delegates reconvened to continue with the election process. The Nominating Committee presented their recommendations, and the following brethren were elected to serve in their respective departments:
- Canvassing/Missionary – Mario Linares
- Education – Rômulo Borges
- Family – Rolly Dumaguit
- Medical/Missionary – José Nguepe
Following the elections, the session resumed to receive partial reports from the Doctrinal and Bylaws Committees.
To conclude the day, Brother Davi Silva shared a meditation on the righteousness that God requires. He ended with a personal reflection: “Our main struggle is the battle of connection.”
