The morning worship session began with Brother Benjamin Thiel posing the question to the delegates: “What do you desire?” He highlighted that our desires often center around fleeting pursuits like fashion, addictions, and recognition.

Following breakfast, the delegates reconvened, and the session commenced. The chairman opened with a reminder that the church holds a rich past, an important future, and, most significantly, a meaningful present. He stressed the irreplaceable value of time, encouraging everyone to make the most of the moments at hand.

Delegates then dispersed to their respective committees to continue their work and returned at 11:45 AM.

During this time, the nomination committee presented its recommendations. Before voting, the delegates united in a special prayer, seeking God’s guidance. After the votes were counted, Brother David Zic was elected 1st Vice President of the General Conference. In his address to the delegates, Brother Zic made a pledge to serve God and His people. However, he emphasized that this pledge was not merely for the delegates but primarily to God. He urged everyone to embrace the significant work ahead and to redeem the time.

The delegates then shared words of encouragement and support for the newly elected 1st Vice President before preparing for the Sabbath.

At 6:00 PM, local church members joined the delegates for the Sabbath opening. Brother Marcos Wagner shared Jesus’ promise of rest, emphasizing that the weariness we often feel stems not just from physical exertion but from inner struggles with self and cherished idols. He urged everyone to give up these burdens to the Lord and experience the profound peace found in surrendering to Jesus our Savior.
