The following experience is related to us by Brother Edson Custódio, who at the time was the President of the North Brazilian Union.
God has been very good to us, and we see evidences of this on a daily basis. However, one illustration of this that I would like to share is an experience that has left a deep impression in our lives, and whose effects we are still feeling as the result of the power of God.
Have you ever thought to yourself: How will I spend the next 5 minutes or $5? We often put much thought into large investments or planned vacations, but let the little pieces of our lives slip without a second thought. It seems like our brain is on autopilot, cruising through life! But are we wasting brain matter?
On December 20th to 27th, the Brethren in Bushtyno, Ukraine attended a Prophecy Seminar on the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation.
In preparation for the event, the brethren advertised throughout the area on billboards, inviting individuals to attend the event.
The seminar was conducted by Brother Liviu Tudoroiu. There were approximately 300 people in attendace for the lectures each evening, including many visitors. There were also lovely songs of praise every evening.
"Therefore, my brethren, dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, [my] dearly beloved. I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord. And I entreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and [with] other my fellowlabourers, whose names [are] in the book of life." Phillipian 4:1-3
By God's grace we have finished our events for 2015.
On December 19, 2015, the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Montreal, Quebec, Canada held a special Sabbath for the children of the church. The Sabbath was held in the church building our church rents. The theme of the Sabbath was David and Goliath. The goal was to help the children see how they can overcome their daily challenges and fight their giant problems.
