The delegates gathered early in the morning to seek the Lord’s guidance through prayer. At 6:30 a.m., Brother Rodolfo Gessner shared a powerful message, highlighting Jesus’ presence in the Old Testament and stressing that He must be more than knowledge—He should be a living experience for every Christian.

After a wholesome breakfast, the session resumed, and the Chairman—Brother David Zic—reminded the delegation of their unique perspectives and backgrounds. Some delegates represent regions torn by war or devoid of religious freedom, while others are absent due to government restrictions. He likened the world today to modern Babylon and read from Jeremiah 29:1, emphasizing God’s call to build homes, marry, and thrive even in exile.

To illustrate God’s blessings, Brother Zic invited delegates with family members present to the stage, which gradually filled with ministers and their loved ones. He celebrated the immense privilege of families united in spreading the gospel, declaring, “We have hope, brethren; the church has a future.” His words resonated with the delegates, reminding all that God’s presence was visible among them.

At 9:50 a.m., the delegates reconvened in their respective committees to continue deliberations. Later in the afternoon, the Plans Committee presented their partial proposals, inspiring the session with innovative ideas. Shortly afterward, the nominating committee announced four candidates for the office of General Conference President. Brother David Zic urged the delegates to remain present and conduct the proceedings with order and promptness. The session then joined in prayer, seeking God’s guidance during this pivotal moment, followed by detailed instructions on the voting procedures.

The voting results soon arrived, revealing that Brother Eli Tenorio was reelected as President of the General Conference. The chairman invited him to address the session. With deep emotion, Brother Eli reflected on the story of Gideon in the Old Testament, expressing a kinship with Gideon’s feelings of inadequacy when called by God to a great task. He shared how, in prayer, he asked God to allow him to serve only if His presence would go with him. His heartfelt words deeply touched the delegates, and he assured them that while great challenges lie ahead, they could face them with confidence, for they could do all things through Christ who gives them strength.

The delegates came forward to offer the elected president words of encouragement, followed by an evening worship led by Brother Alwin Vedhasing. His message urged everyone to search their hearts and ensure that Jesus is truly living within them.

The session concluded with a profound sense of God’s blessings and presence throughout the day’s work.
