São Paulo, Brazil—On August 26, 2023, brethren from the various churches in the city of São Paulo gathered at a special venue to celebrate a day of fellowship and spiritual growth at the Holy Convocation under the theme "Growing in Grace." This event brought together approximately 1,700 people, including adults and children, for an unforgettable spiritual journey.
A Morning of Consecration
The morning began with Sabbath School. The adults had their Sabbath School, and the children were divided into three classes: nursery (0 to 3 years old), Children's Treasures (4 to 8 years old), and Junior Searchers (9 to 12 years old). It was a special time when children learned valuable Bible lessons in an engaging and interactive way. We are thankful to God for all those involved in the Children's ministry.
The Divine Worship Service commenced, addressing the theme "How Much Does It Cost to Serve Christ?" with an inspiring message delivered by Brother Eli Tenorio, GC President. The service was an opportunity for church members to come together in worship and reflect on their commitment to Christ in their lives.
An Inspiring Afternoon
During the afternoon, participants had the privilege of watching an interview with the President of the General Conference, Brother Eli Tenorio, moderated by Brethren Henrique Rios and Eliseu Queiros in the first block, and Brethren Henrique Rios and Sandra Bertelli in the second block. This interaction provided a unique insight into the perspectives and challenges that the global church faces.
The afternoon sermon was "Prepare, O Israel, to Meet Your God," also delivered by Brother Eli. The sermon touched the hearts of those present and inspired them to spiritually prepare to encounter God in their daily lives.
