Brethren in Abbotsford, Canada gathered for a conference focused on thanksgiving, specifically gratefulness for Christ.

Abbotsford, Canada—On October 11-13, 2019, a Thanksgiving Conference was held in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada. The conference began on Friday evening with a sermon by Brother David Zic, GC Education Department Director. Brother Zic was the guest speaker for the event and visited from the Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement Northern California Conference.

Brethren from Washington and Oregon joined the brethren in Abbotsford for a gathering focused on thanksgiving, specifically gratefulness for Christ. Brother Zic’s messages were focused on “Steps to Christ” wherein he spoke about taking intentional steps to walk with God and to properly share the Gospel during our time in this world.

A potluck lunch was served after the Divine service on Sabbath. After an afternoon outing and young people’s meeting, the conference closed with an evening sermon.

On Sunday, the brethren enjoyed the beautiful autumn scenery of the Pacific Northwest during an outing to Stanley Park in Vancouver.

We praise the Lord for the opportunity to learn more about Him and fellowship with our brethren in freedom. May He continue blessing His people, and may we have thanksgiving and praise constantly on our lips.

I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart
I will enter His courts with praise
I will say this is the day that the Lord has made
I will rejoice for He has made me glad

He has made me glad, He has made me glad
I will rejoice for he has made me glad
He has made me glad, He has made me glad
I will rejoice for he has made me glad
