The Colombian Union has initiated a welfare assistance branch directed towards helping low-income families and Venezuelan immigrants in Colombia.

By God's grace, the Colombian Union has initiated a welfare assistance branch directed towards helping low-income families and Venezuelan immigrants in Colombia. The Union's Welfare Department is known officially as "Asistencia Social Dvida" or "Dvida Welfare Assistance", and the Director is Sister Elizabeth Vasco Marín. We are happy for the work that is being done because it gives us the opportunity to follow Jesus' example on this earth: doing good to our neighbor.

We also thank the General Conference that, through the GC Welfare Department Director, Brother André Devai, helped us develop our own Welfare Department. We are convinced that this is an efficient way to spread the good news of salvation and benefit our communities.

Volunteers prepare food baskets with basic food items. These are then delivered to local families in need. At other times, volunteers take the food to the streets. There, they are able to feed those who are hungry and pray with them.

You can read more about the work being done by the Dvida Welfare Department here by visiting the Dvida website here.
