Buckley, United States—On June 17, 2023, Brother Jordan Chapman was ordained as a minister of the Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement Church in Buckley, Washington.
It was a special Sabbath for the church in Buckley, with visitors from Australia (Brother Chapman's parents, Brother Paul and Sister Deborah Chapman) and California. The officiating ministers were the brethren Julian Utupanu, Boris Gurduiala, Paul Chapman, and David Zic.
Oleksandrivka, Ukraine—On July 11-12, 2023, a delegation session took place in the Ukrainian Union. Despite the midweek timing, the brethren took the opportunity to hold a special spiritual meeting. The session and conference were held against the breathtaking backdrop of the Carpathian Mountains in the village of Oleksandrivka.
Lobito, Angola—The brethren in Lobito, in the state of Benguela, hosted an Evangelism and Canvassing Seminar from May 17-21. Attendees included church leadership and young people interested in learning more about the distribution of literature and the Gospel.
Brother Mario Linares, GC Canvassing Department Director, was the guest speaker. During the weekend, there was a conference with the participation of several musical groups.
Plymouth, USA—The PLC 2023 Accelerated Evangelism Program concluded in May of 2023. The graduation service was held on May 27 in the campus auditorium.
This year's commencement address was given by Brother John Baer (GC Medical Director) and impressed the graduates with the great responsibility to use the knowledge they gained to share the Gospel at every opportunity the Lord opens to them. He concluded the address by inviting all the graduates to prepare themselves for the great class reunion in the presence of the Lamb before the Sea of Glass.
Luanda, Angola—An Evangelism and Canvassing Seminar took place in the city of Luanda, Angola, from May 10-14. Ministers, Elders, Bible Workers, church leaders, and young people from the region participated. Brother Mario Linares, GC Canvassing Department Director, was present for the event, as well as Brother Henda, GC Regional Secretary for Southern Africa.
During the weekend, the brethren gathered for a conference with the special participation of the choir and praise groups.
