Prevention and treatment options against this year's potent flu season

This year's flu season is being called “the plague” with every state in the US experiencing an intense increase in the influenza virus. According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), this year's flu season has a death toll of 30 children and is still rising. Out of all deaths combined, 8.2% were due to lung complications linked to influenza-caused pneumonia.

CACHOEIRINHA, BRAZIL—On January 20-23, 2018, a group of volunteers began a three-day humanitarian mission in Cachoeirinha. Cachoeirinha (little waterfall) is a city in Brazil's southernmost state, Rio Grande do Sul. The city has a population of 118,278 and neighbors the state capital, Porto Alegre.

The First Sabbath Offering for July 2016 went towards a church in New Caledonia. Here are the results.

MARÉ ISLAND, NEW CALEDONIA—On the first Sabbath of July 2016 a First Sabbath Offering was taken up. Those funds went towards a new church in Maré Island, New Caledonia. On January 7, 2018, the resulting church was dedicated and inaugurated.
