Ordination Ceremony in Colombia

Segundo Guzman
May 2, 2016
On January 9, 2016, four brethren were ordained in Colombia.

On January 5-10, 2016, the Colombian Union held its annual conference in Barbosa, Santander del Sur, Colombia. During the conference, approximately 1,500 individuals attended the meetings. Prophecies of the old and new testament were the main topics studied during the conference this year.

That Sabbath, Brother Diober Chanchi was ordained as Pastor, the brethren Jose Santos and Heber Ovalle were ordained as church elders, and Brother Nazareno Turushina Altamirano was ordained as minister. Brother Segundo Guzman, the GC Regional Secretary for the Central American Region, was present and participated of the ordination ceremony.

"In every period of this earth's history, God has had His men of opportunity, to whom He has said, "Ye are My witnesses." In every age there have been devout men, who gathered up the rays of light as they flashed upon their pathway, and who spoke to the people the words of God. Enoch, Noah, Moses, Daniel, and the long roll of patriarchs and prophets,--these were ministers of righteousness. They were not infallible; they were weak, erring men; but the Lord wrought through them as they gave themselves to His service." GW 13

May we keep these brethren in our prayers as they continue the work in the Lord's vineyard in Colombia.
