Progress on the plans to broadcast the present truth through media

On February 21-22, 2016 the Brazilian Media Committee met to discuss the SDARM Media Studio in Brazil. The studio was inaugurated on July 26, 2015, on the property of the South Brazilian Union headquarters. It is a two-story building composed of a recording studio (which is to be used for narrative and musical recordings), two studio floors where various sets can be set up, pre-production and post-production rooms, a radio broadcasting room, change rooms, and reception.

The studio building is now complete, and in February the brethren met in order to discuss funding for studio equipment, as well as further plans for the studio and to set the plans in motion. Representing the GC at the meetings were the following: GC President, Bro. Davi Paes Silva; GC Evangelism Department Director, Bro. Liviu Tudoroiu; GC Treasurer, Bro. Rudolfo Gessner; South America Regional Secretary, Bro. Rômulo Borges; and GC Media Comittee members, Bro. Eduardo Merlos and Bro. Marcos Pedrazas. The leadership of both the North and South Brazilian Unions were also present.

Out of the many decisions, we would like to highlight two. Firstly, as of February 22, Brother Ewerton Farias accepted the role of Studio Director. Brother Farias has a strong background and experience in media and technology, and we are confident of his abilities in this new leadership role.

And secondly, after prayerful deliberation and data analysis, it was unanimously decided that on October 22, 2016 (a reference to October 22, 1844) we will be internationally launching the online broadcasting, which will eventually broadcast 24 hours a day to anyone with internet access around the world.

May we pray earnestly for this project that will reach people around this earthly globe.
