On December 19, 2015, our church in Montreal held a special Sabbath for its younger attendees.

On December 19, 2015, the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Montreal, Quebec, Canada held a special Sabbath for the children of the church. The Sabbath was held in the church building our church rents. The theme of the Sabbath was David and Goliath. The goal was to help the children see how they can overcome their daily challenges and fight their giant problems.

In the morning, there were group activities, followed by a short talk on how to be a hero. After lunch, the afternoon was dedicated to building armor in different booths where the children were attended by the parents. There were around 40 people present during the course of the day, including several visitors.

Here is a little summary of the day written by one of the participants. She is 9 years old and here she expresses the day from her point of view.

The activities were really fun. In the morning, after the Sabbath School Lesson we did crosswords and word searches. After this, we went back to the sanctuary to have the second part of the worship. The topic was: How to Overcome the Giants in our Life. At the end, while the adults were preparing lunch, we kids were doing puzzles and watched a documentary on farm life. We ate and soon after started to have the main afternoon activity in stations. At each station, we would receive one of the instruments to fight our giants. There was a label on each tool to tell us what spiritual role would that tool play. My favorite moment was when we had all the instruments on us and we went singing the song "David n'avait rien que sa fronde". This was my favorite part and Matis [her younger brother] as well. Yona
