Dear young people, friends and brethren in the Lord, we thank Him who has sustained us till now with His mighty arm. We are glad to see how God’s promises are being fulfilled towards us year after year, and we join the psalmist in saying:
"I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD" (Psalm 40:1-3).
We also want to sing a new song and have moments of praise to God. Thus, we warmly invite you to spend a week with us at the Music Summer School that will take place under the name "Echoes from Paradise" at our Campus in Porumbacu from August 15-21, 2016.
At this event, we will have with us members of the GC Music Department as well as brethren from various parts of the world. We invite all musicians and choir singers to form an orchestra and a choir that will be conducted by Brother Isaac Terceros. During the weekend (from Friday to Sunday), we will move to another location for a special presentation for the public. The choir and the orchestra formed in Porumbacu will have the opportunity to present, along with other groups and ensembles, a public concert that will take place in Stupini, close to Braşov, approximately 100 km away from Porumbacu.
We kindly ask all those who want to attend the event to please fill in the two forms found here and submit them as soon as possible, NO LATER than August 10. Those who want to attend only the second part of the meeting, and would like to be included in the program, are also asked to fill out and send the forms in time.
Cost:
For the time spent in Porumbacu (August 15-19) 230 RON (50 EUR).
For the time spent in Stupini (August 19-21) 130 RON (30 EUR).
The price for accommodation and meals is 360 RON (80 EUR) per person for the duration of the stay.
The organizers of the musical school recommend the following form of payment:
Deposit 100 RON (25 EUR) in the following bank account when you register for the summer school: RO64RZBR0000060014716372 Barbu Corneliu.
The remaining 260 RON (55 EUR), or the cost corresponding to the number of days you spend will be paid on arrival at the campsite. If all the available places in Stupini become booked, we will have to negotiate some prices with owners of accommodation sites in the neighborhood. Therefore, we kindly request that you make your reservation as soon as possible.
