Summer has just about arrived in the Northern Hemisphere, and the Timothy School for children in Romania will be hosting a children's camp in the Northern Transylvania Field, for children to enjoy the most of their summer vacation.
The theme of the camp will be "Shining Like Stars," with Daniel 12:3 as the theme verse, which says: "The wise shall shine as the brightness of heaven, and those who turn many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever and ever."
We wish to extend our invitation to everyone, hoping by God's grace to be a shining star in this world. We will study together the life and character of the young Hebrews in Babylon, Daniel and his three companions who, though they were slaves in that powerful empire, were still bright stars for those around them. We will answer questions like, how were their childhood and adolescence? What was the secret of their education? What were the choices they made and what were the results? These topics and others will be discussed during the camp.
We pray that God's blessings be bestowed abundantly as we organize this event, that it may be a blessing for all who participate. May the hearts of everyone present be ready to receive with joy the light of His word. Register and bring your friends!
The camp will begin on Monday, August 8, at approximately 6pm and will end Sunday, August 14th, around noon. The camp will be located at the SDARM Church headquarters in Cluj Napoca.
Activities will include:
—Bible studies and discussions on what it means to shine like stars
—Music programs
—Health programs
—Practical activities (painting, drawing, etc.)
—Visits to orphanages and/or nursing homes
—Field trips to different attractions in the city or in nearby locations
—Moments of fellowship and recreation
Please bring your Bible with you and a few supplies for yourself, and also something you would like to gift to someone at an orphanage or nursing home. If you play an instrument, bring it if you can.
Registration is 200 lei/person and includes accommodation and meals for the duration of the camp and materials required for different activities within the program.
