"And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven," Luke 21:11.
Fires, floods, droughts, hurricanes, mudslides, and earthquakes are just a few of the calamities hitting the earth in recent times. It seems like each year records are broken for the largest storm, the most fires, the most devastating disaster. We recognize the signs from heaven, and we also recognize the opportunities to help our brethren affected by these disasters.
The General Conference Welfare Department funds go towards helping our brethren affected by natural disasters worldwide, and often the funds extend towards helping the community affected, as well. The generous funds of individuals like you, dear reader, go towards helping those who have lost everything.
